Bay Point Church Resumes In-Person Service

Weekly service begins Sunday, June 21, 2020 at 9am

Bay Point Church will welcome its members back on June 21, 2020 at 9am for an in-person church service in compliance with the Florida statewide reopening guidelines. The church temporarily halted in-person church services during the recent COVID-19 safer-at-home ordinance. “I have been greatly anticipating this wonderful day when we can enjoy God’s Spirit and one another all together,” remarks Pastor John Guerre. Attendees will be welcomed with a non-contact greeting and the church has taken precautions outlined by the Governor and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Church service will now be held in the Sanctuary building, a beautiful and spacious place to worship located on the historical Nokomis, FL church campus. Worshippers can expect social distancing measures to be followed including masks, hand sanitizer stations, increased signage and extra spacing marked in the church pews. Bay Point Church will continue to share its weekly sermon online, a well-received way for its members and website visitors to hear God’s word.

“We know not everyone is ready to attend service in-person, so we will continue to accommodate those staying at home with our online service and videos,” adds Pastor John. For members who are interested in attending the in-person service, Bay Point Church has outlined important information.

What You Need to Know!

  1. Church service begins at 9am in the Sanctuary.

  2. Attendance will be taken to monitor capacity, so please arrive 20 minutes early for check-in.

  3. Masks are optional. However, Bay Point will provide masks for those who need them and church greeters will definitely be wearing them.

  4. Hand sanitizer will be readily available throughout the church.

  5. Pews will be marked for seating to allow for social distancing.

  6. Children’s Church and Nursery will be open during church service.

  7. Offerings will be placed in a donation box in the back of the Sanctuary.

  8. Holy Communion will be served with individual cups and wafers.

Weekly church service will continue in the Sanctuary building, Sundays at 9am. “I can speak for all of us here at Bay Point Church when I say, we welcome you back to worship!” adds Pastor John.
